Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Design, build and run AI-enabled products end to end — from the data and APIs underneath to the interfaces our customers use every day.
About the role
You will work across the whole stack on production systems: agentic services, LLM-powered features, IoT and payments platforms, and the web applications that sit on top of them. Expect to own features from a rough problem statement through to something deployed, monitored and used — with a senior team around you to review, argue and improve.
What you will do
- Build and ship features across the stack — services, APIs, data models and front end
- Integrate LLMs and AI agents into product features, with sensible guardrails, evaluation and fallbacks
- Design pragmatic architectures and write them down so the next person can follow them
- Write automated tests alongside your code and keep the pipeline green
- Deploy and operate what you build — containers, CI/CD, logging, metrics and alerts
- Review pull requests thoughtfully and help raise the standard of the codebase
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to turn vague requirements into shippable scope
What we are looking for
- Solid commercial experience building and maintaining production web applications
- Strong in at least one back-end language (TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, Java or similar) and comfortable in a modern front-end framework
- Confident with relational databases, API design and asynchronous/event-driven patterns
- Practical experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerised deployment
- Habits around testing, code review, version control and CI/CD that you would defend in an interview
- Able to communicate clearly in writing and to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical people
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have
- Experience shipping LLM or AI-agent features to real users
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, CDK) and observability tooling
- Background in IoT, payments or another regulated or high-reliability domain
- Open-source contributions or side projects you enjoy talking about
